Houston – Bicyclist Hurt Following Main Street Collision

Last Monday, at least one person was injured after getting hit by a car on Main Street in downtown Houston, according to a report released by authorities.
At approximately 6:00 p.m., police responded to Main Street near Lamar Boulevard following reports of a crash between a bicycle and a dealership vehicle. Police said a dealership’s customer was testing a vehicle when it entered the intersection on a red light and crashed into a light rail. The car continued on and crashed into a bicyclist traveling along the roadway.
The bicyclist reportedly sustained injuries and was given medical treatment after the collision. The extent of his injuries was not immediately released by emergency crews.
The Houston Police Department was also requested at the scene to determine liability. An investigation is underway.
