Houston – Bicycle Accident on MLK Boulevard Leaves 1 Dead

A bicyclist was killed after getting into a collision on Martin Luther King Boulevard and Doulton Drive, Friday night.
In an unspecified time in the evening, police responded to MLK Boulevard following reports of a crash at the said intersection. How the crash happened is yet to be determined by responding officers but it was confirmed that the bicyclist was struck by a sport utility vehicle, leaving the bicycle rider with serious injuries. He was immediately taken to a nearby hospital where he succumbed to his injuries shortly after.
Authorities withheld the victim’s identification pending notification of his next of kin.
No words on whether the driver of the vehicle remained at the scene.
The Houston Police Department was requested at the scene to determine liability.
