Houston – Auto vs Pedestrian Crash on Interstate 45

A man was pronounced deceased after a fatal car accident on Interstate 45, also known as the Gulf Freeway, Saturday evening.
Just before 12 midnight, Houston local troopers received a call reporting an auto versus pedestrian crash at the 5700 block of Gulf Freeway. How the crash actually happened remains unclear at this time but it was confirmed that a man was hit by a number of vehicles. He sustained fatal injuries and was declared deceased at the scene. His identification was withheld until their immediate family relative has been notified.
The Houston Police Department was also requested at the scene to assist in the clearing of the site. They did not confirm if the drivers who struck the victim remained at the scene.
An investigation is underway.
