Houston – Auto vs Pedestrian Collision on Gulf Freeway

Last Sunday, Houston law enforcement officials responded to a fatal pedestrian accident on Gulf Freeway, a local news source reported.

Just after 12:00 midnight, an accident was reported Gulf Freeway near Telephone Road. Initial investigation shows that a person was attempting to cross the southbound lanes of the highway when a passing car struck him. The impact of the crash knocked the pedestrian down, leaving him seriously injured. When local paramedics arrived at the scene, the victim had already succumbed to his injuries. His identity remains unknown at this time.

Meanwhile, the driver of the vehicle involved waited until responding authorities arrived. He was not injured.

Houston police have yet to confirm if the driver will be facing any charges. The investigation is still in progress at this time.
