Houston – Auto versus Pedestrian Crash on South Shepherd Dr

A pedestrian passed away after getting struck by a vehicle on South Shepherd Drive in Houston’s River Oaks neighborhood, Monday afternoon.
According to initial reports, Houston local officials responded to the 1700 block of S. Shepherd Drive after they received a call reporting an auto versus pedestrian crash. Police did not specify details surrounding the accident but it was confirmed that a cement truck was involved.
The impact of the collision left one person dead. His identification has not been released at this time.
No one else was reportedly injured from the crash.
South Shepherd Drive is closed between Vermont and Peden streets as officers investigate.
