Houston – 18-Wheeler Truck vs Car Crash on North Freeway

A major collision between an 18-wheeler truck and a motor vehicle sent one person to a hospital last Saturday morning.
Police said they were dispatched to North Freeway near West Road in response to a vehicle accident. According to the preliminary investigation, a Fiat was seen traveling along the highway at around 5:00 a.m. when, for yet undetermined reasons, it went out of control and crashed into a concrete barrier. A few moments later, the Fiat was then struck by a passing 18-wheeler truck.
The driver of the car sustained critical injuries as a result of the incident. He was immediately taken to the hospital but emergency crews did not release his condition, including his identification.
No charges have been made as the investigation is still in progress.
