Hit-and-run driver kills deaf woman in NE Houston

HOUSTON, TX – A deaf woman was struck and killed after two vehicles collided in northeast Houston early this morning.
According to a report by ABC 13, a Nissan Altima collided with a Kia Forte within the 9000 block of Shreveport Boulevard, forcing the Nissan off the side of the roadway.
The Nissan then hit the woman standing on the side of the street. Police say the driver then got out and fled the scene on foot.
Family members identified the victim as 58-year-old Brenda Ball.
