Hit-and-run collision reported on West Loop South Fwy in SW Houston

HOUSTON, TX — A major hit-and-run crash was reported Thursday morning on the West Loop South Freeway in southwest Houston’s Afton Oaks neighborhood, according to City of Houston.
The incident occurred in the 5221 block of the freeway (IH-610) at Exit 8C, near U.S. Highway 59, and was first reported at 8:50 a.m.
Details are limited, but Houston police indicated an “FSRA” event in which one party failed to stop and render aid to another party after an accident resulting in injuries.
Authorities have not released information on any significant injuries, but confirmed the event resulted in no fatalities.
