Hit-and-run accident kills a pedestrian on Kuykendahl Road

HOUSTON, TX – A pedestrian was hit by a car and killed as he was crossing the street on Tuesday night.
KPRC 2 reports that the man was walking across Kuykendahl Road near Cypress Landing Road when he was hit by a gray Honda Civic. The accident occurred at approximately 8:00 p.m. on May 12.
When officers arrived, they found the pedestrian’s body lying in the road. The police pronounced the man dead on the scene. They report that the pedestrian was not walking in a crosswalk at the time of the accident.
A witness told police that the driver in the Honda hit the pedestrian and then fled the scene of the accident. Officers found broken pieces of the car on the ground which confirmed the witness’ information.
The police are still seeking the driver in the Honda Civic that killed the pedestrian. Anyone with information about the accident or this driver should contact Crime Stoppers at 713-222-8477.
