Hillsboro- Solo-Car Collision on Interstate 35

Authorities are still looking into a crash that took the life of 35-year-old Grand Prairie man on Interstate 35 near Farm to Market Road 2959, Wednesday.
According to the Department of Public Safety, the fatal wreck occurred at around 3:00 a.m. A Nissan SUV was traveling along the southbound lanes of on I-35 W north of Hillsboro when, for yet unknown reasons, it veered off the roadway. The driver of the vehicle attempted to take corrective shift but lost control which caused the SUV to roll over. The impact of the collision ejected the man behind the wheel. He died in the process.
Local emergency crews identified the sole occupant as Jake Thacker from Grand Prairie. It was not determined if Thacker was wearing a seat belt during the accident.
No other injuries were reported.
State troopers arrived at the scene to assist in the clearing of the site. Meanwhile, details about what led the collision are yet to be released as the investigation is still in progress.
