High-speed chase ends in crash on Highway 288 in Houston

HOUSTON, TX. – Â A suspect led Houston police and Texas DPS troopers on an hourlong chase before crashing into another vehicle on Highway 288 near Reed Road.
The driver was identified as Clayton Bryant, who was reportedly a suspect in an aggravated assault, according to KHOU 11. The chase began as a traffic stop at South Loop and Main at around 1:00 p.m. on Monday. Bryant reportedly led police through neighborhoods and drove along the 610 Loop prior to the crash.
He was apprehended at the scene of the collision and was taken into custody. Authorities have not yet released any information about the condition of the occupants of the other vehicle at this time.
