Head-on collision in NW Harris County possibly caused by intoxicated driving

BARRETT, TX (HARRIS COUNTY) – A head-on collision in northeast Harris County was possibly caused by impaired driving on New Year’s Eve, according to the Harris County Sheriff’s Office.
The accident occurred in Barrett, on FM 1942, near Eagleton Lane, around 12:50 a.m., when the front of a dark Nissan sedan collided with the front of a white SUV.
According to the report, one of the drivers seemed to be under the influence.
No critical injuries were reported in the crash.
After being shortly closed due to the investigation, both directions of FM 1942 were re-opened by 1:02 a.m.
Authorities are continuing to investigate at this time.
