Hays County – 1 Died Following Vehicle Collision on Texas 21

The Texas Department of Public Safety is investigating an auto collision on Texas Highway 21 near Cotton Gin Road, according to a local news source.
Just before 7:00 a.m., police responded to Texas 21 to assist in a car accident involving several vehicles. How the crash happened remains unclear at this time but it was confirmed four vehicles and a dump truck collided with each other. The impact of the collision fatally injured one of the occupants. When emergency crews arrived to the scene, the victim, identified only as a woman, had already succumbed to her injuries. Her identity has not been released at this time.
No other injuries were reported.
The Hays County Police Department was also requested at the site to determine the cause of the collision.
An investigation is underway.
