Harris County – Hit-and-Run Driver Struck a Bicyclist on North Freeway

Harris County law enforcement officials have released the name of the bicycle rider who died in a fatal collision on North Freeway exit ramp near Airtex Drive, Thursday morning.
Just before 6:00 a.m., local troopers were dispatched on North Freeway near Greens Road to assist in a crash. According to initial reports, a bicycle was traveling along the highway when it was struck by a vehicle as it attempted to go down the exit ramp. The impact threw the cyclist off the bike, leaving him severely injured. He was pronounced dead by emergency crews who responded to the scene.
The driver of the involved vehicle did not stop to render aid to the victim. He fled the scene and his whereabouts have not been determined as of this writing.
Anyone who has information about the identification of the driver is encouraged to get in contact with local investigators.
