Harris County – Head-on Crash on Old Humble Road

A fatal two-vehicle collision on Old Humble Road resulted in the death of two people in northeast Harris County, Friday morning.

Just after 5:00 p.m., police received a call reporting a traffic accident in the 15400 block of Old Humble Road near Beltway 8. According to the report, a vehicle that was traveling along the northbound lane went out of control and crashed into a southbound vehicle after crossing the median. Police said the first vehicle hit wet cement on the road that fell from a cement truck. The driver of one of the two vehicles was killed upon impact. He was later identified as LaTonya Early by responding authorities.

It was not confirmed if the other driver sustained injuries from the impact of the crash.

The crash remains under investigation.
