Harris County – DUI Collision on Rankin Road

A vehicle accident involving a drunk driver resulted in injuries on Rankin Road, Sunday.

In an unspecified time in the morning, police officers were trying to pull over a driver that was in the wrong lane of Rankin Road. It led to a brief police chase and ended up in a collision when the driver struck a truck that was traveling along the North Freeway. Four occupants in the truck sustained various injuries as a result of the collision. They were rushed to a nearby hospital for treatment. Police said all four victims were related to each other. Their identification was not released at this time.

Police did not provide details about the speeding driver. They believe he was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash.
