Harris County Deputy hospitalized after head-on crash with suspected impaired driver

HARRIS CO., TX – A Deputy with the Harris County Sheriff’s Department was sent to the hospital following a major head-on collision late Thursday night.
According to the Montgomery County Police Reporter, the accident occurred at about 11:45 p.m. within the 500 block of Aldine Mail Route Road.
Investigators say the deputy was heading east when the driver of a westbound vehicle crossed the center line and collided head-on with the cruiser.
Both drivers were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries. It is unclear if the driver responsible for the crash will face any charges at this time.
