Harris County – Child Struck by a Car on Aldine Bender Road

A tragic pedestrian accident which took place on Aldine Bender Road in north Harris County sent a boy to an area hospital, Monday morning.
At around 7:00 a.m., Harris County law enforcement officials received a call reporting a pedestrian versus vehicle collision on
at the 4900 block of Aldine Bender near Sequoia Bend Boulevard. According to initial reports, a boy, identified only as a 10-year-old boy, ran across the street when he was hit by a passing vehicle. The impact of the collision left the pedestrian with a minor abrasion to his head. He was rushed to Memorial Hermann Hospital for further care. He is expected to recover, as per local authorties.
The driver of the vehicle stayed at the scene. His identification has not been released.
Investigators are still determining why the boy ran across the street. No charges have been filed against the driver.
