Haltom City – Colby Etheredge ID’d Following TX 121 Crash

According to the Tarrant County medical examiner’s website, the victim who died in a fatal car crash on Texas Highway 121 has been identified.
The victim was named as Colby Etheredge, 17, of Richland Hills. He was a student from Shannon High School.
Last Tuesday, police responded to 6800 block of Texas 121, just off the northbound service road, after they received a call reporting a white 2003 Chevrolet Silverado resting on an embankment. Based on the initial investigation, Etheredge was driving the Chevrolet when he lost control of the wheel and crashed. He sustained significant injuries and was rushed to John Peter Smith Hospital in Fort Worth.
No other injuries were reported.
Police have yet to determine the reason that caused the victim to lose control of the vehicle.
