Hale County – Alvaro Cedillo Died Following Fatal Pedestrian Crash on FM 400

Early Monday morning, a pedestrian collision was reported on Farm to Market Road 400 in Hale County.
According to initial report, the incident happened at around 6:30 a.m. on FM 400, not too far from Lancaster Street. A man was seen walking across the roadway, heading from southbound to northbound lanes, when a Dodge Ram that was heading east struck him. The pedestrian, who was identified as 18-year-old Alvaro Cedillo, sustained significant injuries and was rushed to Covenant Hospital in Plainview. Unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries despite life-saving measures.
The driver of the Dodge Ram was identified as 64-year-old Encarnasio Reyna of Lorenzo. He was not injured.
No charges have been made as local investigators gather information about the case.
