Groves – Laura Segura ID’d Victim of Twin City Highway Crash

Law enforcement officials have identified the woman who was hospitalized following a fatal pedestrian collision on Twin City Highway.
The fatality was named 48-year-old Laura Segura. At around 8:00 p.m., local officials were requested to assist in a vehicle collision at the 2600 block of Twin City Highway.
A woman, Laura Segura, was trying to cross the highway when a passing Ford pickup truck struck her. Segura sustained serious injuries and was transported from the scene of the accident to Christus St. Elizabeth hospital in Beaumont where she was listed in an unknown condition.
Meanwhile, the driver of the car that struck Segura is cooperative in the investigation. He remained at the scene until emergency crews arrived.
No charges have been made as the investigation is still in progress.
