Grimes County – Driver Killed after Colliding with Truck on FM 105

At least one person was killed after a fatal crash involving an 18-wheeler truck took place on Farm to Market Road 105, Monday evening.

According to the report, the fatality was identified as Don Conlee, Jr., 41, of Navasota.

Conlee was driving a vehicle along the eastbound lane of FM 105, about a mile east of Navasota, when it crashed into an 18-wheeler tractor-trailer that was also heading east. Police said the truck was attempting to make a U-turn when the accident happened.

The impact of the collision fatally injured Conlee. He was pronounced deceased by emergency crews who responded to the scene.

The driver of the 18-wheeler truck also sustained injuries. However, it was not considered life-threatening, as per initial reports.

Grimes County law enforcement officials arrived at the scene to gather more information about the crash. They have yet to determine who was responsible for the collision.
