Grimes County – Auto Collision on Highway 2 Leaves 1 Dead, 1 Injured

According to Texas Department of Public Safety, a vehicle accident on Highway 2 near Highway 6 resulted in the death of one person and injuries to another, Saturday evening.
Just after 10:00 p.m., police received a call reporting a car crash on Hwy 2. Initial investigation shows that a vehicle was seen traveling along the highway near Hwy 2 when it ignored a red signal and crashed into another car. The impact of the crash seriously injured the driver of the first vehicle. He was pronounced deceased at the scene. The driver of the second car was rushed to a hospital where he received further medical attention. Emergency crews said his injuries were considered non-life-threatening.
No one else was injured.
