Gregg County – Victim of Multi-Vehicle Accident on State Spur 502 Identified

36-year-old Ore City resident was pronounced deceased after a fatal vehicular collision on State Spur 502, Tuesday morning.
The fatality was identified by local officials as Christopher Allen Jaynes, 36, of Ore City.
According to the initial investigation, the incident happened just before 7:00 a.m. A 2015 Hyundai Sonata was heading south on the highway when a 2009 Ford Fusion that was traveling behind it suddenly went out of control and hit the left rear side of the Fusion. The Ford landed in the center lane upside down where it was struck by a 2020 Kia Sorento driven by Gaithersburg MD resident Donna Kinsella. Police said that the Kia was attempting to make a turn towards Farm to Market Road 1884 prior to the incident.
The impact of the collision killed the Ford driver, Christopher Jaynes. He was taken to Welch Funeral Home in Longview. Meanwhile, the driver of the Kia sustained injuries and was transported to Longview Regional Hospital where she was listed in stable condition.
