Gregg County – Two-Car Collision on State Highway 300

A fatal vehicle collision on State Highway 300 caused the death of one person and injuries to two more people, Friday morning.

At around 7:00 a.m., a 2004 Dodge Ram pickup truck was heading north on SH 300 when it drifted into the opposing lanes and collided with a 2020 Buick Enclave. As a result, two occupants in the Enclave sustained major injuries. One of them was pronounced deceased at the scene while the other was taken to Good Shepherd Medical Center for treatment. Meanwhile, the driver of the Dodge pickup truck was rushed to Good Shepherd Medical Center – Longview.

No identifications have been released pending notification of the victims’ next of kin.

Local police are still investigating the reason why the pickup truck veered into the path of Enclave.
