Gonzales – Hit-and-run Crash on Highway 90A Kills 1

A pedestrian was pronounced deceased after getting hit by a vehicle on Highway 90A in Gonzales, last October 17th, Thursday.
According to reports, the incident occurred at around 3:00 p.m. along Highway 90A. A man was attempting to cross the highway when he was struck by a maroon 2003 Honda Odyssey that was traveling along the eastbound lane. Instead of rendering aid to the victim, the driver of the Honda fled the scene. The victim sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced deceased by emergency crews who responded to the scene. He was later identified as William Henry Ahlstrom Jr. an 80-year-old resident from Gonzales.
The suspect, Marcelina Acosta Sandria, 49-year-old from Gonzales, was later arrested by DPS officials. She is charged with one count of failure to stop and render aid, which resulted in death, one count of no driver license and one count of failure to drive in a single lane.
