Georgewest – Man Died Following Car Crash on US 59

The Texas Department of Public Safety is currently conducting an investigation about a vehicle accident on US Highway 59 near George West, according to a local news source.

Last February 3rd, police received a call reporting a car crash involving a cement truck. A vehicle was seen traveling along Hwy 59 when it drifted into the opposite lanes and crashed head on with a cement truck. The impact of the crash seriously injured the driver of the vehicle, killing him on scene. He was identified as 37-year-old Reymundo Noe Garcia. Meanwhile, the driver of the cement truck was hospitalized where he was given treatment of his injuries. His injuries are considered to be serious, as per local paramedics.

Local investigators have yet to determine why Garcia lost control of the car and collided with the truck.
