Georgetown—Multi-Car Crash on Highway 29

The Highway 29 has since been reopened after a major car accident involving multiple vehicles, a Williamson County Sheriff official said.
According to initial reports, local responders were called onto the 4000 block of Highway 29, just west of Georgetown Road, after receiving a call reporting a major wreck. How the crash took place is yet to be determined by police officers but it was confirmed that a person may have been pinned inside the wreckage as a result of the collision.
Highway 29 was completely shut, with traffic being turned around in both directions as emergency crews cleared the scene of the crash.
No further details were provided at this time. Investigation is ongoing.
