Gatesville— John Gregory ID’d Victim of FM 116 Fatal Crash

The Gatesville Police Department is still conducting an investigation about a tragic crash that took the life of one person on Farm to Market 116 Road, just south of U.S. Highway 84, Sunday evening.
At around 6:30 p.m., local responders were called on to the 100 block of FM 116 after receiving a call reporting an accident. According to initial reports, an unidentified vehicle was traveling along the northbound lanes of the highway when, for yet unknown reasons, it veered off the roadway and struck a Gatesville man who was walking along the shoulder. The force of impact killed the victim. He is later identified as 53-year-old John William Gregory.
Investigators have yet to determine the factors that led to the crash. No citations have been made as of this writing.
