Galveston – Two Injured in Car Accident on 27th Street

The Galveston Police Department has released the name of the victims who got injured following a motorcycle crash on 27th Street.
The victims were identified as 30-year-old Dean Allen Krienitz and 27-year-old Kathleen Svetlik.
Last November 2, local troopers responded to 27th Street after receiving a crash report. According to the initial investigation, an undescribed vehicle was traveling along the roadway when it swerved into another lane where it collided with a motorcycle. Police said the driver of the car, 20-year-old Kevin M Canedo, made an unsafe turn into an incorrect lane, resulting in a collision.
The operator of the bike and his passenger, Dean Krienitz and Kathleen Svetlik, sustained injuries from the force of the impact. They were taken to a local hospital for further care.
No charges have been made as the investigation is underway.
