Galveston – Motorcycle Accident on FM 3005 Leaves 1 Dead

At least one person was pronounced deceased after a fatal motorcycle accident on Farm to Market Road 3005, also known as Termini-San Luis Pass Rd, Saturday.
According to initial reports, the crash took place at around 2:00 a.m. on FM 3005 between 11 Mile and 12 Mile Roads. A motorcycle was seen traveling along the westbound lane of FM 3005 when, for reasons that had not yet been determined, it crashed into a pickup truck. The operator of the motorcycle sustained serious injuries and was transported to Texas Medical Branch where he received medical treatment. Unfortunately, he later died a few moments later. His identification has not yet been released.
Fortunately, the driver of the pickup truck was not hurt. He remained at the scene until the authorities arrived.
The Galveston Police Department was also requested at the scene to assist in the clearing.
