Fort Worth – Salvador Palafox ID’d Victim of I-35 W

The 66-year-old man who died after getting struck by a car on North Freeway near Basswood Boulevard has been named by Fort Worth law enforcement officials, Tuesday.
Just before 3:00 p.m., police responded to the 7400 block of North Freeway to assist in a pedestrian crash. Based on the initial investigation, a man was standing outside his vehicle that was parked on a service road when he was hit by another car. The victim, who was later identified as 66-year-old Salvador Palafox, sustained fatal injuries and died at the scene.
Police said it’s unclear whether the driver of the vehicle that hit the man stopped to help him.
No charges have been made as the investigation is still in progress.
