Fort Worth – Pedestrian Struck and Killed by a Vehicle on North Freeway

A pedestrian crash on Alliance Gateway Freeway, also known as State Highway 170, took the life of one person, early Sunday morning.

According to the report, the crash occurred at around 4:30 a.m. on North Freeway, near the Interstate 35W frontage road in Fort Worth. A man was attempting to cross the highway when he was hit by a car that was passing the SH 170. The impact of the crash left the man with fatal injuries. He was pronounced deceased by emergency crews who responded to the scene. His identification has not been released pending notification of his immediate family.

Authorities did not release further information about the driver who struck the pedestrian. It was not confirmed if he waited for the investigators to arrive.
