The Fort Worth Police Department has named the woman who died in a fatal collision on Walton Avenue last week, April 5th.
The fatality was identified as 61-year-old Patricia Blue Gilbert.
At around 2:40 a.m., police responded to the 2600 block of Walton Avenue following reports of a pedestrian crash involving a hit-and-run driver. Patricia Gilbert was seen walking along the roadway when a passing sedan struck her. Instead of the rendering aid to Gilbert, the driver sped away and left the scene. When authorities arrived at the scene, they found Gilbert suffering from significant injuries she sustained from the force of the impact. She was immediately taken to a nearby hospital where she was later pronounced deceased.
Area investigators arrived at the scene to determine the circumstances leading up to the collision. No words on the driver involved.
