Fort Worth – Hit-and-Run Crash on Walton Avenue Leaves Elderly Dead

An elderly woman was pronounced deceased following an auto versus pedestrian accident on Walton Avenue, Sunday morning.

Police said the incident happened at around 2:30 a.m. in the 2600 block of Walton Ave. A woman was walking along the street when a passing sedan struck her. As a result, the female pedestrian, identified only as a 61-year-old woman, sustained fatal injuries and was rushed to a nearby hospital. Unfortunately, she succumbed to her injuries despite life-saving measures.

The driver of the sedan already escaped from the scene when authorities arrived. His whereabouts remain undetermined at this time.

The Fort Worth Police Department is urging those who may have seen the incident to get in touch with them. An investigation is underway.
