Forney – Tuesday Morning Crash Leaves 1 Injured on FM 1641

One person was hospitalized after a school district bus collided with another vehicle on Farm-to-Market (FM) 1641, Tuesday morning.
According to reports from the Forney Police Department, a Forney ISD school bus 55 was seen traveling along FM 1641 near Monitor Boulevard when, for reasons that had not been determined, crashed into an undescribed vehicle. The force of the impact trapped the driver of the vehicle inside the wreckage. He had to be extricated by firefighters who responded to the scene. He was rushed to Baylor University Medical Center with serious injuries. Medical crews said that the victim’s injuries were not considered life-threatening. His identification was not immediately released.
No one else was injured.
Police said no students were onboard the bus during the time of the accident.
No citations have been issued as the investigation is still ongoing at this time.
