Flat – Auto Collision on State Highway 931 Leaves 1 Dead

A woman was pronounced deceased after getting involved in a solo-vehicle collision on State Highway 931, Monday afternoon.

At around 12:00 noon, police responded to SH 931 following reports of a vehicle that had overturned. Based on the initial investigation, it seems that the undescribed vehicle was traveling along the highway when it went out of control and went off the roadway. The car was found in a roadside ditch. The driver of the vehicle, who was only identified as 43-year-old Gatesville woman, was found inside the vehicle, suffering from fatal injuries. She was pronounced deceased shortly after.

Police said the victim was the sole occupant in the car.

The crash remains under investigation.
