HOUSTON, TX – A vehicle fire brought traffic on the 610 Loop near I-10 to a standstill yesterday until firefighters were able to extinguish the flames, KTRK reports.
The fire broke out in the right-hand shoulder of the northbound lanes of I-610 at Old Katy Road at about noon on Sunday. Traffic proceeded while firefighters combatted the flames, but backed up as a result.
It does not seem as though anyone was injured at this time. However, we will update this blog should we learn more.
