Firefighter hurt when ambulance collides with pickup in SW Houston

HOUSTON, TX – A firefighter was injured yesterday morning when an ambulance collided with a pickup truck in the Alief neighborhood in southwest Houston, according to a report by KTRK.
The accident occurred at about 8:30 a.m. in the 9900 block of Keegan Road, near where it intersects with Huntington Glen Drive as an ambulance, carrying a patient, drove through an intersection while using its lights and siren.
The ambulance then collided with a pickup truck, sending the truck into a ditch and causing damage to the ambulance.
The firefighter was taken to Memorial Hermann for the treatment of undisclosed injuries.
No other injuries were reported in the collision.
