Fiery semi-truck crash blocks multiple ramps on IH-10 WB in NE Houston

HOUSTON, TX — A big rig caught fire in a collision Wednesday morning, closing multiple ramps on the East Freeway near Houston’s Greater Fifth Ward, according to Houston Transtar.

The accident happened on the westbound lanes (Interstate 10) at the Eastex Freeway (IH-69). It was verified by Houston Transtar shortly after 5:30 a.m.

Details are limited, but the exit ramp, left interchange ramp, and right interchange ramp were blocked as a result of the event.

No other vehicles appear to have been involved.

At this time, authorities have not released updates regarding any possible injuries.
