Female pedestrian fatally struck in west Houston

HOUSTON, TX – A woman was killed last night after being hit by a vehicle in west Houston.

According to KHOU, the unidentified woman was attempting to cross Bellaire Boulevard near Cook Road when she was struck at about 7:40 p.m.

Police believe the woman was crossing outside of the designated crosswalk when the incident occurred.

The driver remained at the scene until authorities arrived. It is unclear if they will face any charges at this time.
