THE WOODLANDS, TX – A family is now in critical condition after a wrong-way wreck on I-45 on Sunday morning, the Houston Chronicle reports.
The driver of a Ford Taurus was traveling southbound in the northbound lanes of I-45, eventually crashing into a mini-van near the Research/Lake Woodlands exit.
Emergency responders rescued a male driver, a female passenger, and a 12-year-old girl from the struck vehicle. The male and the child were taken to the hospital in critical condition — the young girl was eventually transferred to another hospital via LifeFlight.
Both the adult female passenger and the wrong-way driver were reported to be in stable condition. The crash remains under investigation.
