Falls County – 85-year-old Man Died Following Car vs Truck Crash on Highway 7

A major vehicle collision on Highway 7 near Marlin caused the death of an 85-year-old man last Friday, September 13th.
According to the Department of Safety, a Heavy Expanded Mobility Tactical Truck (HEMTT) had been waiting for a green light at the intersection of Highway 7 and Highway 320 when, for reasons that had not been determined yet, it made a left turn and collided with a passing Toyota. Police said the HEMTT struck the passenger side of the Toyota.
The passenger of the Toyota, identified only as an 85-year-old man from Lott, was fatally injured as a result of the crash. He was declared deceased by emergency crews. Meanwhile, both drivers did not sustain any injury.
No further details have been made available at this time as DPS continues its investigation.
