Falfurrias – Fernando Davalos Died in Chain-Reaction Crash on Texas 285

Falfurrias Police officials have released the name of the man who died in a major accident on Texas 285 last April 30, Tuesday, reports said.
The fatality was identified as 44-year-old Fernando Davalos.
According to initial reports, the collision happened at around 4:50 p.m. on TX 285 near Falfurrias. A semi-truck was seen traveling along the highway when it struck a passenger vehicle. The force of the impact pushed the car off the road while the semi crashed into another car, prompting a chain reaction.
Davalos died as result of the said crash. Authorities said that six more people suffered from various injuries and were rushed to local hospitals for treatment. The extent of their injuries was not immediately disclosed.
Based on the initial investigation, it was determined that the semi-truck was not able to reduce its speed upon approaching the passenger car.
The investigation is still in progress.
