At least one person was sent to a hospital after getting struck by a car on Northeast G Avenue, Monday afternoon.
According to a local news source, the wreck took place at around 5 p.m. at the intersection of Northeast G Avenue and Fabens Road. The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office has yet to release details surrounding the collision but it was confirmed that it involved one vehicle and a pedestrian. The impact of the collision left the pedestrian with non-life-threatening injuries. He was rushed to a hospital for treatment.
Authorities did not release other details about the pedestrian’s name as well as the type of vehicle involved in the crash.
The investigation is still in progress. Anyone who can provide any information relevant to the accident is encouraged to get in touch with El Paso police officials.
We would like to express our deepest sympathies to the friends and families of the injured victims. We pray for their full recovery as we hope that the Fabens Police Department will do everything to bring those responsible to justice.
In Texas, car collisions happen on a regular basis. Most of the time, these events result in injuries and fatalities. Victims involved in crashes are left to deal with life-threatening injuries, damages to property, and worse—emotional trauma. While accidents are fortuitous events that cannot be foreseen, they can be prevented if only drivers had simply put their complete attention on the road and taken their responsibility as drivers more seriously. This is why, despite conscious efforts by the government to combat the increasing number of fatalities and injuries every year, crashes due to negligence is still on the rise.
