EMS crews respond to major collision on Gulf Fwy in SE Houston

HOUSTON, TX — A major vehicle accident was reported Friday afternoon on the Gulf Freeway near southeast Houston’s Southbelt/Ellington area, according to City of Houston.
Houston police, fire crews, and EMS personnel responded to the scene in the 11560 block of the freeway at around 12:25 p.m.
Few details have been released, but authorities indicated a serious collision requiring an EMS response, suggesting likely injuries to at least one party.
As of this writing, no fatalities have been reported in the event.
