Elsa – Daniel Ybarra Died in Car vs Tree Crash on FM 88

Elsa law enforcement officials have identified the man who passed away after a tragic car accident on Farm to Market Road 88 last Wednesday.

Just after 9:00 p.m., police said a 2015 Chrysler 200 was seen traveling along FM 88 near Mile Marker 21 when its driver failed to negotiate a curve and lost control of the car. The Chrysler left the roadway and crashed into a tree nearby. As a result, the driver, who was identified as 24-year-old Daniel Ybarra, was seriously hurt and died at the scene.

There were no other occupants in the Chrysler, as per reported.

Local investigators have yet to determine whether speed played a factor in the crash. The investigation is still in progress.
