Ellis County- Several injured following a car crash on FM 667

Fatal car accident involving two vehicles killed two people and injured five more on Farm to Market Road 667, Saturday.

At around about 5:20 p.m., emergency crews responded to the scene after a crash report on FM 667 near White Rock Road in Italy. According to the report, the wreck involved two vehicles.

Two people, identified only as a woman and a child, died from the impact.

Authorities said that five more victims were reportedly hurt but the extent of their injuries was not immediately available. Two children were transported to Children’s Medical Center in Dallas for treatment while another child and two adults were hospitalized in Baylor Hospital. Their identifications were also not released.

The Texas Department of Public Safety also arrived at the scene to assist in the clearing. No details about what caused the crash have been released.
