El Paso – Woman Hospitalized Following McKelligon Canyon Drive Crash ID’d

The El Paso Police Department has released the name of the victim injured after a major crash on McKelligon Canyon Drive last January 24th.

Authorities identified the victim as 79-year-old Delilah G Rodriguez.

According to the initial investigation, the incident happened just after 2:00 p.m. on McKelligon Canyon Dr in El Paso. A school bus was traveling along the roadway when it collided with the vehicle behind it. As per responding officers, the school bus reportedly went in reverse, hitting the other car.

A female occupant, Delilah Rodrigues, sustained injuries and was given treatment by emergency crews. It was not confirmed if she was taken to a local hospital for further treatment.

Area investigators are still determining the reason that caused the school bus driver to drive in reverse.
