El Paso – Two Died in Vehicle Accident Hercules Ave

The El Paso Police Department is conducting an investigation about a vehicle collision on Hercules Avenue, Friday afternoon.
At around 5:00 p.m., a car was seen traveling along the 4000 block of Hercules Ave when it crashed into a 2016 Chevrolet Cruze. The impact of the crash sent the Cruze spinning and ended up crashing into a tree. The first vehicle continued on, drifted into the opposing lanes and struck a passing 1995 Ford Aerostar. Both occupants in the Ford were fatally injured and killed at the scene. Meanwhile, the driver of the Chevrolet and his passenger sustained non-life-threatening injuries as a result of the crash. They were provided medical treatment by emergency crews.
Based on the initial investigation, the driver of the first vehicle was traveling at an unsafe speed prior to the crash.
No charges have been made as the investigation is still underway.
